I finally decided to remove the centerboard cable guide (contains the centerboard cable and supports the table). Haven't used the centerboard in years so decided it wasn't worth maintaining. Also opened up some space. Filled the hole with epoxy and covered with an aluminum plate. Put some mortar in the centerboard slot to keep it up. Also relocated the bilge pump auto switch to beneath the hole in the sole. Makes it easier to check.
Here's a photo from the top of my mast. Doing a little anchor light maintenance using my Mast Mate ladder to get up there.
I've been up the mast a number of times but it still gets the pulse going!
