Hey Glenn,

This is something i posted early last year:

"We just did our first few days of sailing for the season.  It was fairly windy and few other sailboats were out on the bay.  Here are a few numbers (the best I can recall):

10 mph - our Kelt 7.60 sailed fine
15 mph - ideal for sailing
17 mph - windy enough for us
20 mph - time to reef the main and roll in some of the jib - exciting
20 to 24 mph - we sailed for a bit with full main and a hint of jib (close hauled only).  very exciting."

I'd meant to collect some more data but that will probably have to wait until next year.

Enjoy your new Kelt.

Regards, Mark

Hi Mark
Thanks for the information.Where do you sail your Kelt?
We will be sailing our Kelt on Lake Erie and cant wait.
We just sold our 26' s Macgregor, it's a nice boat but we wanted to have standing room
so we bought the Kelt.
Thanks
Glenn

We sail on the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay.  Have done quite a few small trips and overnights on our Kelt 7.60 with no complaints
