My original incandescent lights that came with my Kelt 7.6 just were not up to the task for my tired old eyes of lighting up a book or other printed material. Accordingly, I checked some online RV supply sites and found some small LED lights. They provide a very direct and bright light, great for reading, and use only milliamps of energy. I am not sure how well they would stand up in a saltwater environment, but after four years on freshwater Lake Erie, they show no sign of corrosion. They are a sealed beam type, meaning you would need to replace the entire fixture in case of burn-out. However, they are rated for 50,000 hours and will probably outlast me! I installed a total of seven of this type of lighting and did need to extend some more 12v wiring, but the effort and not-too-high cost was worth it.
