Looking for some help with an engine well repair. We bought the boat last year, and it appears as though there was a failed attempt to repair the engine well. Not sure exactly what they were trying to repair, but they removed a section of the mount, resealed with silicone, and reinforced it. Either way, it broke this year. The rot in the ply core (guess the engine mount on the kelt is the only place with ply core?) looks grim, but appears to be superficial (only going down 1mm or so) and the mount it self is solid. It also looks like the whole mount can be removed with screws.
Anyone have any experience with this kind of repair, and/or removing the mount? Help would be appreciated before we start taking things apart. :)
