Buying a Kelt 8.5

Hello to all

I am looking at buying a Kelt 8.5 drop keel boat and would be very grateful for any tips or advice on what to watch out for.

You may want to read through the posts here.  There is some info on keel bolts and, especially, keel lift box corrosion.  Decks most likely have a synthetic core and, if so, will not have any rot.  Also, I'd recommend picking up Don Casey's book "Inspecting the Aging Sailboat" or, better yet, "Don Casey's Complete Illustrated Sailboat Maintenance Manual", which includes "Inspecting the Aging Sailboat".
