7.6 motor well

I have been getting sea water into port cockpit hold and then to cabin floor.  I've only traced traced it back as far as that.  It only comes in during sailing or motoring when seas are moderate rough.

I am wondering if any owners have had the occasion to remove the motor well shell that is bolted into the aft deck?  I am curious if removing it,  I could get a good look at the lower transom and see where the water intrudes from.
